Public bug reported:

The new version of gedit does not add new features. The release cycle is
quiet with a few bug fixes and translation updates.

3 Ubuntu patches have been upstreamed.

2 commits need to be reverted because they depend on gtksourceview 3.22
which we will not be packaging for yakkety. (They are the commits that
are prefixed by search:)

I have been running gedit 3.21.90 for a few weeks now and I haven't seen
any new bugs with it.

GNOME is currently in UI freeze with 3.22 expected to be released around
September 20.
