I do not see a good reason to remove the Quick Search function in Synaptic. I
think it is essential.
As of version 0.83, the Quick Search 'apt-xapian-index' is set to 'suggest'
instead of 'recommend' as it used to.
Please change it back. Everybody likes the quick search function.
I know it is easy to fix by manually installing 'apt-xapian-index', but
the first impression is half-baked software.
