Public bug reported:
I just went on quite the excursion trying to figure out the story of
this package! Given that this exists in addition to the regular old
'apt-key' included with apt, I was trying to figure out what the point
of this package is, and when it should be used instead of apt-key. Found
the launchpad page (https://launchpad.net/add-apt-key), and from there
tried to get to the homepage (https://add-apt-key.dev.java.net/) which
doesn't exist anymore. Wayback Machine points to where it used to be
(https://web.archive.org/web/20070618133618/https://add-apt-
key.dev.java.net/), but tracking down the current home landed me at this
discontinued project (https://java.net/projects/jdk-distros) and I could
get no further than the livejournal (!) post linked from that page.
This leaves me wondering what this package is meant for that apt-key
doesn't already do, or if it is just a vestigial piece from Long Ago.
And for that matter, where in the world is the original source code for
it currently hosted, if anywhere?
** Affects: add-apt-key (Ubuntu)
