Launching under Ubuntu 14.04 yields:
inkscape: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpoppler-
glib.so.8: undefined symbol: _ZN7GfxFont16getAlternateNameEPKc
apt-get build-dep inkscape gets things working again, so it looks like
there's an incorrect dependency in the deb.
