Result of running systemctl status clamav-daemon.service - below.
It does indeed return an error. I have had this error before (ubuntu
15.10) and it broke the package to the extent that it was impossible to
upgrade or remove. It was resolved after a full reinstall of the OS. I
reset the clamd.conf to the original file and the error remains
identical.
