Public bug reported: For updates the user is not interested in (or suspects might introduce problems), it would be great to have an option to hide them, so that Software Update will stop notifying the user of their existence.
Windows Update has this feature, if you right click an update and choose the Hide option: https://technet.microsoft.com/en- us/magazine/ff382716.aspx In Software Updater, it's unclear what happens if I deselect an update and close the window. Will I be prompted next time the updater checks for updates? ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Option to hide updates.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1622078/+attachment/4738028/+files/Option%20to%20hide%20updates.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1622078 Title: Option to hide an update and not show it again To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/1622078/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
