The issue for me was not due to resuming from hibernate or suspend. The issue persisted after disabling both.
Monitor would go black in ten minutes but power the light was not blinking (steady) yet upon resume I get the same graphical freeze. Purging xautolock->reboot solved the issue for me. Screen still goes black in 10 minutes but I've resumed successfully several times in the last 24 hours with no repeat occurrence. I know this isn't a fix but thought it would be worth posting the possibility of an alt root cause. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1566302 Title: Ubuntu 16.04: Suspend freezes the system after upgrade to linux image 4.4.0-16 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1566302/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
