I'm rejecting this bug, since the recommends is fine (see debian policy, sec
7.2).
As a side note, the real fix is to have recommends installed by default. There
has already been done some work in this area (see
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel/2006-August/020806.html), but I
don't know if this feature will still make it into edgy.
