Doesn't seem to be a language pack related problem for me. I do not have any addons installed (excepting the Firefox default theme) and the same issue appears.
But when I move my .mozilla directory and restart Firefox, https sites work fine. When I remove .mozilla then and move my old .mozilla directory to .mozilla, followed by a Firefox restart, everything works fine for some time again. Moving .mozilla is not a permanent solution since every user who upgrades to Edgy would loose his bookmarks, cookies and so on. This has been reported in the forums by several people: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=247093 -- cant go to https sites with edgy firefox https://launchpad.net/bugs/59413 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
