Any luck with this yet? I keep my eyes open for suitable new hardware, and the Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 has now attracted my attention. If anybody cares to take a look at http://www.ebuyer.com/product/117729/show_product_reviews there's two customer reviews from Linux users - one of them running Ubuntu, slagging off XP and referring to Ubuntu as the "proper OS".
Is this board worth a try? I know the Gigabyte board is Off Topic for this bug report, and I really fancy using the Asus board because it's got the ATI chipset - and AMD are releasing ATI specifications - or is it only ATI specifications for graphics cards not motherboard chipsets? But at the end of the day I just need something that will work. -- Kernel panic acpi related https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/86169 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
