Found a workaround that worked for me. I've seen a lot of this issue just googling around and a few different threads lead to "hda-jack- retask" (evidently a part of alsa-tools-gui now) as a fix. Install alsa- tools-gui, run "hdajackretask" and switch the "front green jack" to "not connected"
It's not a perfect fix but my system is an HTPC and that jack doesn't get used anyway. Hope this helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1585084 Title: Volume notification keeps popping up constantly(the notifyosd bubble on top-right corner) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1585084/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
