Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mount

i recently updated to gutsy beta from feisty.

since then, ubuntu (amd64) doesnt mount my ntfs volume correctly. here
is the fstab entry:

UUID=F02C28EC2C28B010 /media/hda7     ntfs
defaults,nls=utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0 0

and here ist what mount /dev/hda7 says:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# mount /dev/hda7
$LogFile indicates unclean shutdown (0, 0)
Failed to mount '/dev/hda7': Operation not supported
Mount is denied because NTFS is marked to be in use. Choose one action:

Choice 1: If you have Windows then disconnect the external devices by
clicking on the 'Safely Remove Hardware' icon in the Windows
          taskbar then shutdown Windows cleanly.

Choice 2: If you don't have Windows then you can use the 'force' option for
your own responsibility. For example type on the command line:

            mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/hda7 /media/hda7 -o force

Or add the option to the relevant row in the /etc/fstab file:

            /dev/hda7 /media/hda7 ntfs-3g defaults,force 0 0

i didnt try the force option yet because i think this must be a bug. i didnt
touch the ntfs drive since the upgrade to gutsy, and before it worked well with
feisty. So this must be a bug!
