Public bug reported:
To replicate this bug do:
1. Open two terminals.
2. on the first terminal: $ mkfifo fifo
3. on the first terminal: $ tail -f fifo
4. on the second terminal write several times: $ echo "somestring" > fifo ,
changing somestring each time.
Some of the strings sometimes will not appear in 'tail'.
Unfortunately this bug is not deterministic.
It happened in Gutsy x86 and I couldn't replicate in in Feisty.
