I can't find too much in the log. I've seen similar issues but with another version - so not dup'ing yet until we have seen a bit more of your case.
Since the auto attached logs aren't too good for now to spot the issue I'd ask you to provide some more. Samba in that regard consists of nmbd and smbd. I'd like to understand what is going on in your case, could you provide the output of: service smbd status service nmbd status If nothing in the following files is confidential it would be great if you could also attach: /var/log/samba/log.nmbd /var/log/samba/log.smbd /etc/samba/smb.conf Also I realized that you updated yesterday, but just now a bigger update was released on 28th. So please try upgrading to 4.3.11+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 - and if that fails please provide the mentioned logs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1627970 Title: package smbclient 2:4.3.9+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.2 failed to install/upgrade: package smbclient is not ready for configuration cannot configure (current status 'half-installed') To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1627970/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
