Public bug reported: Hi.
While using Windows 10 with VirtualBox 5.1 with Ubuntu 12.04 x64, I can set it up without any problems by creating a standard virtual machine and pointing it to the 12.04 iso. However If I do the same with a Ubuntu iso 16.04 x64 iso, it fails because the display shows abnormal pixels. I've tweaked some Virtualbox settings and by enabling EFI, I can complete the install but I cant reboot it because it gets stuck while displaying the EFI shell (I think). There are other people facing this problem as seen at: http://askubuntu.com/questions/541006/ubuntu-14-10-does-not-install-in-virtualbox https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/13615 In case any information is required please ask. Thanks. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1629935 Title: virtualbox 5.1 + ubuntu 16.04 iso fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1629935/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
