Thanks for taking the time to report this issue, in order to identify the
problem, we probably need some extra information, such as, the output of your
syslog when you plug/unplug the camera, the output of lsmod command, the output
of "uname -a", the output of dmesg command, please include the requested
information as separated attachments.
By the way do you have pmount installed?.
