With former ubuntu distributions the image viewer eog could be used for opening
sun raster files with file ending .ras. With the latest ubuntu release eog
doesn't recognize the file format any more. I reinstalled eog, but it still
hasn't worked out. However, opening of the .ras file works with other image
viewers such as e.g. gimp or image magic.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
