In response to comment #10, commit
dc5ff2b1d66f21c27a4c37236636dff6946437e4 ('writeback: Write dirty times
for WB_SYNC_ALL writeback') was backported to Ubuntu-4.4.0-37.56. If
this issue is still seen in 4.4.0-38, then why would it be appropriate
to backport that commit to Trusty ? (besides which it doesn't backport
to a 3.13 kernel)
