During the installation I got the message about installer being run in UEFI mode and to continue or go back. I've had Ubuntu 15.10 installed on the laptop which was bought as Win 8 ready machine.
I tried to install and preserve my old files only to have this shim jump out when I started the system. I've since wiped the disk and made a clean install so I don't know what else to do to help here. It was unusual to get that message, and it was unusual to get the error. If you need me to check out a few things or need any further info please tell me. Otherwise you can really close this as it isn't relevant anymore. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1633398 Title: (Ubuntu-GNOME 16.10, initial install) package shim-signed 1.21.3+0.9+1465500757.14a5905.is.0.8-0ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shim-signed/+bug/1633398/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
