The gray screen issue was fixed by a dependency on fontconfig1 in
1.9.1-1.
The upgrade issue affected only packages during the Xenial release
cycle. Before wine-development was not in Ubuntu.
Since people on Xenial aren't affected by this anymore, I'm closing this
"Fix Released".
