Hello, I didn't tested that patch following that way, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection#Testing_a_newly_released_patch_from_upstream , but I did test the pacth by building my own 4.8 kernel (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/BuildYourOwnKernel) with the Ubuntu- lts-4.8.0-25.27_16.04.1 kernel.
