Confirmed on 16.10 too (bluez 5.41-0ubuntu3) and the script here https://gist.github.com/pylover/d68be364adac5f946887b85e6ed6e7ae#file- a2dp-py does not work anymore for me since the upgrade to 16.10 :(.
