Hello Nish, As long as you can reproduce the problem yourself, I see no problem with you (or anyone else) finding a fix and when the problem is fixed to release a new version.
I am a bit uncertain what snap'ing bacula means, how to do it, or what the responsibilities are. I assume you mean take the responsibility for Ubuntu Bacula releases. Please clarify what you are suggesting, and I will give you a full response.
