Public bug reported:
On Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial LTS-Server with Kernel 4.4.0-36-generic we have
Input/Output errors writing files with fsync on EMC XtremIO Storage disc
over qla2xxx driver.
dd conv=fsync if=/dev/zero of=/test/4k.data bs=4096 count=524288
dd: fsync für '/test/4k.data' ist fehlgeschlagen: Eingabe-/Ausgabefehler
524288+0 Datensätze ein
524288+0 Datensätze aus
2147483648 bytes (2,1 GB, 2,0 GiB) copied, 2,51172 s, 855 MB/s
Error in /var/log/syslog see enclosure (extract syslog)
It seems, that qla2xxx driver misinterpret storage result under Kernel
4.4.0-36-generic.
With Kernel 4.8.0-22-generic from 16.10 YakketyYak under 16.04. Xenial
LTS-Server the Problem is not existing.
If this is a bug, please fix this for kernel 4.4 in 16.10 Xenial Server.
