Public bug reported:

When you run edid-decode with a binary edid file, it send binary garbage to the
screen.
The exact output varies (possibly an uninitialized buffer), and sometimes it
only shows up after a few (3-5) runs.

Possible theory: when run on a hexdump input, it shows "Extracted
contents". Maybe it's till showing binary data when there is a binary
file.

The source appears to come from: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/app
/edid-decode/ but I could not find a way to file a bug there.

Binary data should not be sent to stdout for binary input files.
