Public bug reported:
version_signature
Ubuntu 4.4.0-43.63-generic 4.4.21
The wifi fails shortly after boot, especially when using more bandwidth,
requiring a reboot to reconnect to networks--sometimes even multiple
reboots. The issue started after upgrading to 16.04; before, using the
soft-switch for wifi on the keyboard, or searching for a random hidden
network would eliminate any connection issues.
Now, attempting to turn on wireless networking after the driver crashes
results in a temporary slowdown of my laptop, then nothing.
Bug presents in 4.4.0-45 and 4.4.0-43.
Attempted a workaround by disabling power save, disabling watchdog, and
disabling 11n.
