Sorry for the delay, but I was finally able to test 4.9rc3. The system does identify two audio devices: broadwell-rtXYZ headphones and broadwell-rtXYZ speakers (sorry, I don't remember the number). Unfortunately audio playback still doesn't work (using the sound settings panel "test settings" tool appears to be working but no sound comes out of speakers or headphones). Both alsamixer and the Sound control panel show the devices, and I tried to adjust volume to make sure something wasn't muted, but I can't rule out user error at this point.
It's probably worth noting that I lose my wifi when I boot 4.9 (and the reason I didn't grab the exact name of the devices). Is there any else I can do to help? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1441852 Title: [HP Spectre x360 - 13-4010ca] Audio broken, broadwell-U audio controller To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1441852/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
