I got it working with: sudo apt-get purge ttf-mscorefonts-installer sudo rm -rf /var/lib/update-notifier/package-data-downloads/partial sudo mkdir /var/lib/update-notifier/package-data-downloads/partial sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer (accept the EULA)
