I believe I have a similar issue; I don't want to file an unnecessary
duplicate bug.
In the Gutsy Release Candidate CD, installation goes OK until the
"Scanning the mirror" stage. This appears to hang, but after around 10
minutes of doing nothing (no disk activity, completely quiet...), it
continues on and installation completes successfully.
