Public bug reported:

Hi,

I just upgraded from dapper to edgy knot3, and I tried installing
upstart -- unfortunately I did all that at once so I don't know if the
problem is in upstart or in the kernel.

My root filesystem is /dev/hde1 -- and I have grub rules that pass
root=/dev/hde1 to the kernel

But the boot procedure never goes beyound the point of writing "Begin:
waiting for root filesystem" (or something like that)

Is there a parameter to change in grub? Some default to tune in upstart?

What are the standard grub parameters for edgy?

Thanks

Cyril
