Public bug reported:
I am using Ubuntu 16.10.
I cannot access files on my Samsung Galaxy tablet, which is connected via USB
cable. The cellphone
icon do appear in the Dash side panel, and SAMSUNG Android appears in Nautilus
under the left window panel. On the right-hand side window panel the hard-drive
icon appears with the label "Tablet". When I double-click on it to open, it
thinks for a long time and then bombs out with a message stating that it cannot
show the contents and "libmtp error: could not get object handles."
Nautilus do indeed connect to my Samsung Grand Neo Plus cellphone, and I
can see its contents.
I can't understand why one Linux distribution can't read another Linux
distribution. After all, Android is Linux-based, right?
Please help.
