I tried to search for "Pain" in all search engines in JabRef, and CiteSeerX and INSPIRE seem to be the only ones still working; the rest other throws errors (mostly about broken URIs from what I could see) or just returned nothing. Looks like quite a few of the hardcoded URLs have become stale or the services are down or impose restrictions. I hope the situation gets better when we have a newer JabRef release in Debian and by extension in Ubuntu ...
