Public bug reported:
Trying to install from USB3 , 16.04.1 Ubuntu Mate on a Dell Insperion
7559 fitted with a Samsung Evo 850 500g SSD.EUFI is off and legacy mode
on. I get repeated crash with an error message with respect to writing
to the SSD. Have tried from CDROM as well. Inspecting the disk
partitions the / partition is populated before the crash. Have tried pre
partitioning, no difference and tried with a blank disc no difference.
Had been using 16.04 upgraded to 16.04.1 OK, just wanted to re-partition
and re-install.Will try a different hard disk tomorrow.
