doing a fresh install using the release-candidate-iso (gutsy alternate rc) i
got exactly the same effect!
notebook is a ibm x40 - installation went fine till x is getting installed...
very annoying! very annoying bug,
makes it completely impossible to install gutsy on imb x40 (41? 60? etc....)
