Public bug reported:
I use a Dell Inspiron 9400 with an ipw3945 and Kubuntu Gutsy. When I
connect to an AP and then move to another place (or the AP is powered
off, or whatever), the wifi leds starts blinking fast (as when
associating) and it's stuck in that state. It keeps blinking, even if I
power off and on (with Fn+F2), try to connect to another AP, with
iwconfig, iwlist, powermanager (ha! it doesn't even detect other APs)...
nothing. Always blinkng. Nothing on dmesg. *MUST RESTART* to make it
work. It doesn't happened with Feisty, only when suspending. However,
suspending and resuming may make it work again (if resuming works,
because sometimes FAIL and must hard reset).
Tried 2.6.22-11, 12 and 14, -generic, -i386 and -rt.
