Here's the error I get when I run the upgrader from the command line:

The command line I used was
sudo python /tmp/kde-root/adept_managerCQBq9b.tmp-extract/dist-
upgrade.py --frontend DistUpgradeViewKDE
which was copied from a 'ps' while the upgrader was running from the
'kdesu "adept_manager --version-upgrade"' command.
