Public bug reported:
If I create folders inside a snap's data folder, even before that snap
is installed, removing that snap will remove the folders I created.
Demonstration:
$ mkdir -p ~/snap/mame/common/roms
$ touch ~/snap/mame/common/roms/i-created-this-before-the-snap-was-installed
$ sudo snap install mame --beta --devmode
mame (beta) 0.179 from 'popey' installed
$ sudo snap remove mame
mame removed
$ ls ~/snap/mame
ls: cannot access '/home/aquarius/snap/mame': No such file or directory
This may be "by design", but I think it may come as an unpleasant
surprise to people that removing a snap also removes things that the
snap itself didn't create, especially for apps that require large
downloadable data files which one must manually put in place.
** Affects: snapd (Ubuntu)
