Why does it need to be reinstalled?
There's no Ubuntu repository for "virtualbox", just the official one,
but unsupported by Ubuntu: see http://virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
(where you can find .debs and the instructions to add the virtualbox.org
archive to your APT sources).
You may want to try the package virtualbox-ose instead, which is
supported by Ubuntu. Please note, that you would also have to install
virtualbox-ose-modules (currently provided by the package virtualbox-
ose-modules-2.6.22-14-generic).
I'm closing this bug as "Invalid", because the package "virtualbox"
(without "-ose") is not supported by Ubuntu.
