Some Update from dual boot laptop with Win10 and Gentoo, but I think it is relevant. Some of folks were referring to broken sound card, this happen to me as well. The card was not available on Linux neither on Win10. Even after disabling/re-enabling in bios didn't help. I started thinking it is really broken, but tried to flash the bios :-) and it got working again.
