Thanks for your bugreport. What version of snapd do you have installed? $ apt list snapd will have the details. I suspect that this is because the version of snapd (2.18) that contains this feature has not landed everyhwere yet. It will be shortly. At some point in the past `snap find` would also accept empty querries and return a random collection of 100 items from the store. We no longer do that in current snapd.
