Public bug reported:

Domain names for many websites point to websites I had just been at, and
then sometimes fix themselves, or go to a different domain. This did not
happen on Feisty, and it doesn't happen on other computers in the
network. It did happen on a Gutsy beta, and was the reason I was forced
to uninstall it.

I'm running ndiswrapper1.47 on a broadcom wireless card, based on a tutorial on
the ubuntu forums.
This happens in both firefox and lynx, so its not a bug in either browser.

I don't have ethernet access, so I can't test whether or not it is a
byproduct of the wireless.
