yea flash non free is not included in the live-cd ... gnash will install but is too beta and not really an option right now (anyone who wants it should would look for it in add/remove progs).
the user must be informed that Gnash is BETA (people think is the same...) this is really just confusing the user and creating more problems in the end. The way Festy installs flash was fine in my opinion.
