So my boot space is constantly full as well. I am running Ubuntu Mate
16.04. At this point even doing sudo purge-old-kernels doesn't work
because the kernel is so big that 250mb is not even enough room more
than 2 kernels. My suggestion to fix this is to have the boot drive
increased to at least 2gb as the minimum for boot drive space. Whenever
there is a kernel update, I have to sudo into the boot drive and
manually delete the older of the two kernels I have. I am more than a
little frustrated that this isn't a automatic process every time the
repo needs to update the kernel for the distro.
