Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: soundkonverter

soundKonverter will not allow me to switch the CD Ripper backend from
"KDE audio CD protocol" to "cdparanoia".

>From Settings->Configure soundkonverter..., I select the "Backends" tab.
Changing the "CD Ripper" pull-down to cdparanoia appears to change the
setting. Switching tabs within the Settings dialog and returning to the
Backends does not disturb the pull-down (it stays on cdparanoia).
However, if I press "Apply" then "OK" or just "OK", then re-open the
Settings dialog, the CD Ripper pull-down has returned itself to "KDE
audio CD protocol."

Inspecting ~/.kde/share/apps/soundkonverter/profiles.xml reveals several
settings, but none that seem to relate to the CD Ripper back end
setting.

My system is a fully-updated Kubuntu box installed from the Gutsy Gibbon
beta. I am running soundkonverter version 0.3.6-0ubuntu1.

** Affects: soundkonverter (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
