Public bug reported: The package 'texlive-latex-extra' isn't listed in 'Ubuntu Software' GUI. Searching for that package in that GUI didn't come up with the package.
The command: apt-get install --simulate texlive-latex-extra Finds that package and successfully simulates an installation.
