With the kernel that comes stock in Gutsy, my system produces a weird
ticking sound out of the fan. The processor runs hot sometimes. I have
remedied this temporarily by compiling 2.6.23. I have also seen an
error involving processor "ticks" after a boot-up FSCK; I will provide
more if I can get boot logging turned on.
