This may be useful - I got a more descriptive error:

GLib-
GIO:ERROR:/build/glib2.0-7IO_Yw/glib2.0-2.48.1/./gio/glocalfilemonitor.c:433:g_file_monitor_source_handle_event:
code should not be reached

in the output when running PCManFM from the Terminal and reproducing
this bug. Full output:

aaronfranke@aaron-xub16desk:~$ pcmanfm
** Message: x-terminal-emulator has very limited support, consider choose
another terminal

** (pcmanfm:26132): WARNING **: XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR is set to invalid path,
ignoring it
**
GLib-GIO:ERROR:/build/glib2.0-7IO_Yw/glib2.0-2.48.1/./gio/glocalfilemonitor.c:433:g_file_monitor_source_handle_event:
 code should not be reached
Aborted (core dumped)
aaronfranke@aaron-xub16desk:~$

So, I think that this error may have something to do with GLib/GTK
