Public bug reported:

While trying to upgrade I got a general error message asking me to run
'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core'. I hope the supplied log files
gives some hint about the problem.

I did try to disable some PPAs, and I also removed virtual-ext-pack
which had a pending update that couldn't be performed.
