Public bug reported:

/etc/resolv.conf was not automatically updated after a reboor ( or network 
manager restart )
The nameserver refereed to 127.0.0.53, manually changing the etc/resolv/conf to 
192.168.1.1 fixed the issue.
editing the head, base (or tail) pieces did not seem to have an affect.
