Hopefully a final comment about this from me, with a suggestion about how to restore the packages that you don't want from "proposed" back to stable repository versions.
With some help from another Ubuntuforums member, 1fallen, I was given this info page from askubuntu http://askubuntu.com/questions/768849/how-to-reverse-proposed-channel-package-upgrade which I followed and successfully managed to get my machine back to where I thought it was before this surprise discovery of "proposed" being enabled. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1592427 Title: I can't disable proposed updates To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-properties/+bug/1592427/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
